As landscape architects we serve as plantsmen, problem solvers, site engineers, explorers, landscape artists, and construction technologists. We are stewards of our environment. Established in 1983 by Mark LaPierre, our team applies its collective professional skills and individual experiences to the development of practical solutions & creative contributions to the broad expanse of everyday circumstances common to the human experience. We apply modern sensibilities and current technology resources with a thoughtful designer’s touch - guided by the hands of traditional craftsmanship and viewed through an artist’s eye, respectful of cultural tradition - and the immutable forces of nature. We work with private owners, architects, engineers, builders, corporations, institutions, and agencies – people who are interested in protecting, enhancing, or developing their land based resources; and inspired toward conserving, improving, or newly creating environments, spaces, events – even objects - intended to resolve a need, and to provoke a human response. • • • • • • • We view the landscape as both a physical resource to be protected, and a cultural resource to be utilized - thus a medium through which we can express human values. We work to sustain natural resources, while utilizing site assets, developing options for meeting program objectives and, in the process, seek to celebrate the human experience. We strive to achieve these goals through application of our relevant experience, and formulation of specific project strategies that combine professional insight with thoughtful measures of appropriate technologies, natural sciences, cultural values, building craft & creative artistry. |
